Terms And Conditions

TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR USE OF ONLINE ACCESS SERVICES

I/We hereby agree to the following terms and conditions for the use of Investment One’s Online Access Services:

1. Instructions

1.1. I/We acknowledge that each instruction I/We provide to Investment One Financial Services Limited is final.
1.2. “Instruction” means:

  • An instruction that is communicated to Investment One after password authentication through its telephone system; or

  • An instruction relating to an online transaction that is communicated to Investment One after authentication.

1.3. I/We agree that Investment One may rely on my/our instructions (including electronic acceptance of this agreement and other online agreements) as if I/We had provided Investment One with a paper copy of them.
1.4. I/We agree that Investment One may maintain a record of my/our instructions. Investment One’s records of my/our instructions will be binding on me/us in any dispute, including legal proceedings.
1.5. I/We accept responsibility for transactions conducted based on my/our instructions and any resulting losses.

2. Passwords

2.1. I/We shall be responsible for keeping my/our User ID and password secure.
2.2. I/We agree to use best efforts to prevent and protect Online Access credentials from unauthorized use or disclosure.
2.3. If I/We suspect that someone else knows my/our password, I/We shall notify Investment One immediately (and in any case within 24 hours), either by telephone or in person, and cooperate fully in any subsequent investigation.

3. Responsibility for Losses

I/We agree that I/We am/are responsible for any losses resulting from the following:

  • (A) I make an entry error while using Online Services.

  • (B) I claim that an account or service was accessed by someone else, but I do not cooperate in an investigation by Investment One or authorities.

  • (C) Someone else uses my User ID without my authority, but my own actions (or inaction) contribute to the unauthorized use.

  • (D) Failure to sign off Online Access after I/We finish using it.

  • (E) Failure to use up-to-date antivirus, antispyware software, and a firewall on the personal computer used for Online Access.

4. No Liability in Certain Cases

Investment One shall not, under any circumstances, be liable to me/us for any of the following:

  • Direct, indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential losses or damages;

  • Loss of revenue, profits, business opportunities, or for inconvenience—foreseeable or unforeseeable—arising from:

    • My/Our own actions or inactions;

    • Errors, delays, or unavailability of Online Access due to system maintenance, government restrictions, market rules, or reasons beyond Investment One’s control.

5. Stock Market Quotations and Opinions

5.1. Time-delayed or real-time stock market quotations may be included in the information services provided online. These:

  • May not reflect current trading prices;

  • Are not intended to provide legal, tax, or accounting advice;

  • Should not be seen as recommendations for the purchase or sale of securities.

5.2. The information and recommendations provided are not endorsed by Investment One or its third-party providers.

6. Withdrawal of Access

6.1. Investment One reserves the right to:

  • Withdraw or terminate my/our access to Online Services at any time, with or without notice;

  • Do so to maintain the integrity of the system or due to reasons beyond its control.

6.2. Investment One will not be liable for any inconvenience or losses resulting from such withdrawal.

7. Charges

I/We agree that Investment One may charge a fee (e.g., ₦1,000) or any other amount as may be communicated from time to time as consideration for providing Online Access. Investment One may debit such fees from my/our account.

8. Changes

8.1. Investment One may update the terms of Online Access, the services, or this agreement at any time.
8.2. Notice of changes will be posted on the Online Access website.
8.3. Continued use of the service after such notice shall be deemed acceptance of the updated terms.

9. Other Agreements

9.1. This agreement should be read together with any other existing or future agreements between me/us and Investment One.
9.2. If there is any conflict between this agreement and another written agreement with Investment One, the terms of the other agreement will prevail to the extent required to resolve the conflict.
